What is your challenge as you see it?

“The challenge with any software is that, even after implementing the so-called sophisticated software pieces, we still have to write reports that we need. We find that we still need to add a lot more of screens. What happened to the “standardized business processes” that they promised? Off-the-shelf functionality just does not cut it, however established the software may be. This is simply unacceptable.”

What solutions do you have today?

” I have a small team of developers with Oracle/Java expertise whose job is to sit in meetings with us, and take specifications and/or provide special reports as and when we need them. Their job is also to explain subtle nuances of the financial software, planning software and other software pieces that we have to use, to meet our senior management needs. Finally, when we get to use the software pieces comfortably, we find the need to change or add custom pieces, we are at the mercy of the software architecture to allow such changes to be made.”

And to add custom components, you do not have to learn any proprietary language but use Oracle/Java/XML to achieve that. GRIP framework has an embedded API extension that allows instant addition of custom code to provide a homogeneous system, without a steep learning curve.
