What is your challenge as you see it?

“As a project manager, my challenge is to keep changing the different parameters within the software in support of It, R&D or business functions and in collecting management data. We use different pieces of software, to capture spending, project pipelines and resource categories. For example, when we need to add a new process for product commercialization, we need to updates many components: the methodology, the routing and approvals, the finance parameters for capitalization and expense, besides adding routing stakeholders and approvals. It takes at least two months before we update all our systems to reflect say, an R&D process change, and to be able to support R&D Senior Management Reporting. Same is true for IT environments as well.”

What solutions do you have today?

”Today, we have configurators for individual software pieces. It requires a long and tedious learning curves to gain expertise in configuring the systems. And on top of that, we find out that some aspects are not configurable at all, without making a custom code to facilitate that.”
